Event photography for a communal art-making workshop hosted by Natalia Tan at the National Gallery Singapore, in conjunction with GLISTEN by Lisa Reihana and the Gallery Children’s Biennale.
The session invited participants of all ages to explore Saori weaving through play, tactility, and storytelling, bringing personal objects, memories, and materials into a shared space of making. My approach focused on documenting these quiet, in-between moments: hands at work, exchanges between parents and children, textures coming together, and the emotional presence of participants as stories surfaced through colour and thread.
The resulting images capture both the intimacy and openness of the workshop, balancing process-driven detail with the collective energy of a public arts programme, while preserving the sensitivity and care central to the experience.
